I love it when the approval for comments isn't working or is off. The secrets feel so much more real - and I know they aren't edited and that everyone's post is getting put up.

The comment approval is always "on". We set up our system to make it easiest for you all to post, but it is kind of awkward for the moderators and involves lots of Ctl+C, Ctl+V and hitting the "Back" button. When you can see comments for the Daily Picture posts, it just means that we're in the (possibly interrupted) process of making them their own posts.
However, rest assured that each comment is read and reviewed, and we put up every single one that meets the criteria we discuss at dizzying length in the Warning Label post (see right). Second to ANONYMITY IS KEY, our motto is CENSORSHIP IS LAME THE VAST MAJORITY OF THE TIME.
