I hate that I'm too liberal for my friends from home but not liberal enough for my friends at UNC. I can't seem to convince either group that I'm happy being in the middle and that there's nothing wrong with it either.

I've become more conservative in the past year, and I find it difficult to talk to almost anyone about politics anymore.
Sometimes people who are identified as liberal need to be reminded that you are just as entitled to think conservatively as they are to think liberally. Say what you feel. It has helped my friends not be so close-minded towards those with conservative ideas and thoughts. Our relationship has matured because of it.
I sometimes find it ironic that the people who profess to be the most accepting of all creeds and views are actually only accepting if the views you have jive with theirs.
Otherwise, you're the one that is wrong and ignorant.

I'm just scared of what people will think of me.

I feel the same as you.
