Throw a movie night or something with you single friends. That's what my group did last year, and no one felt lonely.
At least you won't find out you've been cheated on, and get dumped after enduring months of emotional abuse for no reason. I sympathize but I've had a much worse Valentines day. Just grab some chocolate and some beer and enjoy the company of yourself, someone who will always be there for you..
Come over to my dorm and bring a movie. We can be alone together.
I'll go out with you if you're a girl ;). lol
