I tolerate but secretly loathe it when people say "You're a girl, you can get a guy whenever you want to." If it was that easy, I wouldn't be alone my entire life.

Ditto. Those people fail to realize that getting involved with boys is easy, but getting involved with ones who will respect your boundaries, treat you right, not cheat, be there for you, and do all of the wonderful things that a partner should do --that takes a lot of work.
It's comments like that which makes girls like us even more miserable. Don't let go of your standards, the right guys are out there for all of us. Let's hope.
