Three therapists, two psychiatrists, and a year and a half later, I'm still suicidal and more alone than ever before. Will you ever let me go?

I've been there.
Sometimes when people won't let you go, it's because they're trying to keep you from falling. Even if that's all you want to do and what they're doing (i.e. sending you through the hells of the mental health system)is completely frustrating and awful, the fact that they love you enough to be your safety net is a wonderful and rare thing. They carry hope for you until you can find it and carry it for yourself.
I know the feeling. I've been hanging on for about 5 years now and it hasn't gotten much easier, even with the help of therapists. I wish they would let me go. But I know they won't because they all care too much. If only they'd realize that it is what I truly want. In the mean time, I don't have the will to cause them that much pain.

I hope you find it soon.
Things will get better. Please know that.
Good luck, and love.
