You wait. I dated a guy for four years thinking he was my soul mate, but after we broke up, it slowly began to hurt less and less, and I slowly began to realize why he wasn't right for me in the first place.
Time heals all wounds. Very cliche, but very true.
the same just happened to me, the 3 year mark and everything. he has already moved on. everyday i think about him. some days are better than others.
I just got out of a 2 year relationship. We met in high school and started dating. We thought we were going to get married, then our second year of college, the distance between our schools and a bunch of other life circumstances caused her to break up with me. I think about her every single day and it's been 6 months. 2008 is probably going to be the hardest year of my life for a long time. Right now I'm just meeting new girls and trying to start casually dating again. We'll see what happens.
Me and my b/f met after both getting out of engagements and the long relationships that lead up to them, after thinking that we were never going to get ove rour exes...so there is hope. Life goes on, and even more beautifully.
