I kind of understand but don't punish the person for opening up to you. Just my opinion.
dang, they trusted you with their secrets. trust them back. it takes a lot to let your guts spill.
then that would it have been love, really? or infatuation..only you know the answer to that. love isn't conditional. if they've made mistakes and they know it, good for them for acknowledging their past, that shows maturity. if they thought they'd do it again, would they let anyone know?..
