I'm starting to doubt that two people can actually stay happily married to one another for the rest of their lives. I always believed that I would fall in love, get married, have babies, and live happily ever after. Unfortunately, I'm not sure "happily ever after" exists. I'm scared that I'll end up alone, but even more scared I'll end up in an unhappy relationship.

I completely feel the same way. I think it's just that "happily ever after" isn't what we thought it was. Nothing is going to be perfect, and everything is going to be hard at some point- but that doesn't mean that this realistic love isn't totally worth it.

at least I hope so!

I feel the same way. My parents aren't divorced but I don't think they're in love anymore either. My mom is so hard on my dad. Every time I go home I think about how terrified I am that I will grow up to be like them.

some people get that happiness... my parents have been married for nearly 30 years and i have full confidence that they will be those cute little old people you see walking about the mall sometimes
